Fitrah Southampton Islamic Primary School (SIPS) is governed by a team of specialists that come a variety of backgrounds including business, community development and finance. 

Members of the Governing Body include:

Sabir Amin – Chair Of Governors

Sabir has managed various aspects of FMCG (food) industry supply chain for the past 25 years; covering material procurement and supply, production planning and distribution, and new product implementation. He has recently completed an MBA at Southampton University.

Nazrul Islam Chaudhery – Treasurer

Nazrul has rich experience in local community development activities – from Oxfam, Muslim Council of Southampton and a local residents’ forum to being an interpreter for the NHS and Treasurer for Shah Jalal Mosque and Islamic Centre.  He is well grounded in community matters and is passionate about making a difference to civic society as a whole.

Ahmed Zyada – Secretary

Ahmed is a Pharmacist with a background in Community and Primary Care sectors. Through out his professional career he has managed teams to deliver health services in a quality and cost effective way. His job role also entails managing projects and audits which are essential for improving patient outcomes in the NHS. In his non-work life Ahmed has a wealth of experience in community initiatives and events that help bring people together.
