School scores a hat-trick to finish the academic year

Posted on: 22 July 2014

MashaAllah amazing ways to finish the 2013/14 academic year:

  • Alhamdulillah for the second year in succession all pupils registered for SATs achieved a Level 4 in English and Maths; 2 of whom attained a Level 5 in English and 1 that gained a Level 5 in Maths.
  • Alhamdulillah Fitrah SIPS passed its first moderation for Year 6 writing by Southampton City Council, which means that they are happy with teacher judgements being made on pupils’ levels and the wider efforts being made by the school on assessment and pupil progress.
  • Alhamdulillah for two years in a row Fitrah SIPS has won the “Read for My School” prize draw.  Pupils from upper juniors - Years 5/6 - were given a limited period to read a wide selection of books (collectively 250) online and review them.  As a result of pupils logging in, reading books and leaving quality reviews the school was entered into a prize draw and won 100 books from The Pearson Foundation and Booktrust

This was a fitting end to a very challenging year for Fitrah SIPS and demonstrates that even in the most testing of time that the staff and wider school family mashaAllah have the dynamism and resilience to keep focused on the task in hand.

May Allah grant everyone connected to the school with the noor of Taqwa and everlasting success.  Ameen
